Fourth Joyful Mystery

Let Us Reflect:

The Immaculate Virgin Mary presented Jesus in the temple, and though not obligated to do so, humbly fulfilled what was prescribed in the law for Her “purification.”

“And after the days of Her purification, according to the law of Moses, were accomplished, they carried Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord: As it is written in the law of the Lord: Every male opening the womb shall be called holy to the Lord: And to offer a sacrifice, according as it is written...” (Luke 2:22-24)

Let Us Pray:

We offer Thee, O Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of Thy Presentation in the temple by the hands of Mary, and the Purification of the Blessed Virgin and we ask Thee, through this mystery and through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, the grace and gift of wisdom and purity of heart, mind and body.
