The Ongoing Threat from Russia

It is generally accepted that Russia has shed its communist past; that Russia is now weak and benign; that since the Perestroika of 1989-1991, Russia has changed and is no longer a threat.

This, however, is not the reality, as the following news stories demonstrate. These reports present a picture that is very different from what the newspapers and news media generally portray to the public. The reports also confirm the warning of Our Lady of Fatima that Russia will be the cause of many nations disappearing from the face of the earth.

For evidence that we are near the predicted chastisement of the annihilation of nations, possibly even our own, we present the following news items.

CIA Director Names Russia as Chief Proliferator of Weapons of Mass Destruction

On March 19, 2002 George Tenet of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) singled out Russia as the "first choice of proliferant States seeking the most advanced technology and training" for weapons of mass destruction.

Mr. Tenet stated that Russian sales "technology" (technical expertise used for chemical, biological and nuclear weapons) was "a major source of funds for commercial defense industries and military research and development".

This report was disseminated on March 21, 2002 by Stratfor consultancy, and had also been published by Agence France Presse on March 20. The Stratfor report noted "the Director of the CIA has named Russia as the key source of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) proliferation".

The report continued: "Tenet stopped just short of explicitly specifying the blame on the Russian government. But at the same time, he did not blame rogue elements in the Russian Security services or Mafia syndicates."

According to Stratfor, Tenet delivered a blunt message to Putin: "The US believes that WMD proliferation is official Russian policy. The government in Moscow must immediately halt this policy or face the consequences."

It should be noted that Russia has never halted the policy, nor faced any consequences. On the contrary, we see that presently, Putin has been welcomed into NATO, which is a grave step toward the achievement of Russia’s primary strategic objective, namely the establishment of a collective security system which, clearly, they intend to dominate (see more about this in the articles "NATO Welcomes Russia" and "NATO’s Useful Idiots" in this supplement).

In fact, the response of Mr. Putin and the Russian Government to the insistence of Mr. Tenet and the US government is found on Stratfor’s website www.STRATFOR.com (This information service boasts that its reports are written in part by "former" intelligence officers. But it does not explain that the "intelligence officers" are Soviet intelligence officers. Thus, we should not be surprised if Stratfor’s reporting reflects a pro-Soviet stance.)

According to Stratfor, the U.S. position is summarized as follows: "Gone is any residual U.S. gratitude for Russian cooperation during the early phases of the war in Afghanistan. The Bush Administration is mandating that the threat posed to the United States is so great that any and all other consideration – including diplomatic niceties – must take a back seat."

Stratfor comments that this represents the beginning of a severe crisis between the U.S. and Russia. The report then summarizes the official Russian response to George Tenet’s reported blunt message to Putin: "In the worse case, but still a likely scenario, Russia would respond by launching a nuclear attack on the United States."

President George W. Bush appears to have taken this prospect into account because:

• Soviet WMD proliferation continues, and is accelerating, with total impunity. There have been no "consequences".
• Bush now calls the GRU/KGB* officer Putin "Pootie-Pootie", a "warrior against terrorism", "a man with whom I can have an honest dialogue" and whom he considers to be "good and trustworthy".
• As will be discussed in the article "NATO Welcomes Russia", Russia has achieved a further great leap forward in realizing its long-term strategy of establishing a collective security system which it will control.

Consider what this means. Russia has been identified as the country that sells (and makes available the technology for) bombs of nuclear, biological and chemical means. These weapons are designed to kill great numbers of people. Russia also provides the training necessary to be able to actually use this technology.

Vladimir Putin, the Premier of Russia, sells for money or various alliances the technology for terrorism to any country or group whom may feel threatened by President Bush’s "war on terrorism".

This is unspeakably frightening, as it is a perfect formula for the annihilation warned of by Our Lady of Fatima (also see the article "Fatima Prophecies More Urgent than Ever" in this supplement). High on the list of nations targeted for terrorist attack, and the use of these weapons of mass destruction, is the United States. President Bush has said more than once "either you are for us or you are against us." Since this war on terrorism is against persons and countries who are in many cases unnamed and unidentified, then what country would not feel threatened?

The potential use of these weapons cannot but make us shudder. A biological weapon could drop Anthrax, or worse, on an entire city. A chemical weapon could unleash Agent Orange (chemicals that literally burn people to death) on widespread population. It is probably not necessary to detail the destruction caused by a nuclear weapon.

This is even more frightening when we consider that there are nuclear weapons that fit inside a briefcase. General Aleksander Lebed, who recently died in a "helicopter accident" in Russia, said more than once that a number of Russian briefcase-size nuclear weapons produced by Russia are missing. It was believed, in the past, that these missing weapons were due to faulty security in the Russian government; it is also said that Mafia-like mob criminals in Russia were responsible for these bombs being stolen from within Russia.

Now, due to this recent news report, we know that George Tenet from the CIA has publicly accused Russia of supplying weapons of mass destruction, presumably to those "rogue" states on whom Mr. Bush wants to wage war in his "war on terrorism".

Any thinking person can see that this is a recipe for disaster. The CIA’s George Tenet warns Russia to stop this proliferation or "face the consequences". Russia replies that if the US tries to stop Russia from diffusing weapons of mass destruction, Russia will bomb the United States, with nuclear weapons.

This is the diplomatic exchange that has taken place this year between the United States and Russia. Apparently, Mr. Bush recognizes the danger from Russia. He has not told you he recognizes the danger from Russia but he clearly acts like he understands it.

That is why, apparently, Mr. Bush has done nothing while Russia continues to widely make available and distribute weapons of mass destruction, because Russia would retaliate by bombing the United States. Furthermore, Mr. Bush now calls the GRU/KGB officer Putin, "Pootie-Pootie"; "a man with whom I can have an honest dialogue", of whom he addresses to be "good and trustworthy."

NATO Welcomes Russia

On May 28, 2002 in Rome, Russia was signed into NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). This agreement makes Moscow a participant of the Western military alliance. It is a major step forward in Russia’s long-time strategic goal of dominating Europe by having only one single European security system of which Russia intends to be the dominating power.

Russia’s determination to be the dominating power of NATO was exposed by, among other sources, the BBC’s "Assignment" television program. The broadcast of November 5, 1994 was entitled "Disputed Borderlands".

In that broadcast, the shrewd broadcast journalist Allan Little asked Boris Tarasiuk, a senior Ukrainian government official, if he would identify the "center of gravity" of the intended (Soviet-planned) "common security system". The dialogue was so revealing on this score that we repeat it here:

Boris Tarasiuk: We have to design a new approach, a new concept of all-European security, which will be freed from the division of the Continent into military blocs.

Allan Little: Where would the center of gravity in such a system be, where would the real decision-making power lie?

Boris Tarasiuk: (unable to prevent himself from breaking into a broad smile on-camera) Very interesting question. It’s a question for ... to be a subject for a special conference. Well, I could tell you that I know the answer to this question, but I would prefer not to answer it.

Allan Little: What’s your ... well, what are your doubts about it?

Boris Tarasiuk: (Still looking uncomfortable, and amazed that a Western journalist had asked him a bull’s eye question) Well, I think that time hasn’t yet come for giving an answer.

Which, being interpreted, means that the time had not yet come for the continuing Soviets to demand that the central locus of the intended Soviet-dominated collective security system would, of course, be Moscow.

Contrary to the newspaper accounts welcoming the entrance of Moscow into NATO, NATO has been deceived and enticed into the enemy’s camp.

NATO’s Useful Idiots

Deaf to explicit assertions by the Russians (the continuing Soviets) that the West has succumbed to the priorities of Soviet strategy, and blind to the existence, let alone the essence, of the Leninists’ World Revolution objectives, the leaders of the West were "of one mind", and meekly signed a formal agreement in Rome on May 28 providing for the formation of a NATO-Russia Council, making Moscow a participant, (though not (yet) a full member) of the Western military alliance, which has been penetrated by several "former" Warsaw Pact countries whose secret strategic loyalties remain firmly aligned towards the East. After the document had been signed, President Putin uttered a remark which purposely revealed, to those whom Lenin called "the interested", that the West had been conned.

What did President Putin have to say after signing the document setting up the new NATO-Russia Council? Putin said, "We should call ourselves the House of the Soviets."

Thus, Putin was telling NATO’s useful idiots that NATO had entered the enemy’s camp, and that Russia is in control of them.

Yet, so that it would not be recorded into the minutes, ex-Communist Lord Robertson, the NATO Secretary-General attempted to downplay Putin’s grave remark. Robertson said, "I will declare that to be a joke."

Lord Robertson, of course, was simply covering for Putin, since there was nothing funny about Putin’s remark. And there is no doubt that Lord Robertson is Putin’s own Soviet loyalist. In the 1980s, for example, Robertson was responsible for the Labor Party’s Soviet policy, and led the Party’s delegation to the 27th Congress of the CPSU (Communist Party of the Soviet Union) in 1986. Yet Putin had made it clear, and it was no joke. Russia, in fact, has not entered NATO’s camp, but rather, NATO had been enticed, or was in the process of backing itself into, the Soviet camp, or the "House of the Soviets", as Putin said.

Can there be any question that Mr. Bush, and the West, have made a grievous mistake in welcoming Russia into NATO? It allows Russia to achieve "great leaps forward" in realizing its long-term strategy and goal of establishing a collective security system over the European Continent (and ultimately, over the world).

This security system is one that Russia has intended, and obviously has the means, to control. President Bush clearly backed down after Russia’s threat of nuclear annihilation. He told the world that Mr. Putin is a "warrior against terrorism" — Putin, the one who is arming the terrorists!

Fatima Prophecies More Urgent than Ever

The above news stories only confirm the warnings from Our Lady of Fatima about the threat from Russia, especially the two specific warnings from Sister Lucy. The first in 1946, the next in 1957.

In 1946, in the now famous interview of Sister Lucy by William Thomas Walsh, Mr. Walsh relates:

"Finally, we came to the important subject of the second July secret, of which so many different and conflicting versions have been published. Lucia made it plain that Our Lady did not ask for the consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart. What She demanded specifically was the consecration of Russia. She did not comment, of course, on the fact that Pope Pius XII had consecrated the world, not Russia, to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1942. But She said more than once with deliberate emphasis:

‘What Our Lady wants is that the Pope and all the bishops in the world shall consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this is done, She will convert Russia and there will be peace. If it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through every country in the world.’

"Does this mean" William Thomas Walsh asked, "in your opinion that every country, without exception, will be overcome by Communism?"

"Yes", responded Sister Lucia.¹ Father Manuel Rocha was present at this interview as the interpreter of Sister Lucy. Father Rocha testifies that Mr. Walsh wanted to be positive about the answer and therefore repeated the question adding "and does that mean the United States of America too?" — Sister Lucy again answered "yes".²

Again, in 1957, Sister Lucy said the following to Father Fuentes:

"Tell them, Father, that many times the Most Holy Virgin told my cousins Francisco and Jacinta, as well as myself, that many nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia will be the instrument of chastisement chosen by Heaven to punish the whole world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation".³

Thus, the threat of Russia is real, and confirms the warnings of Our Lady of Fatima. These reports are not the inventions of The Fatima Crusader. Yet some who pretend to be defenders of the Faith make insinuations that we should join their club, forget Fatima, and stop rocking the boat. Some even attack The Fatima Crusader from inside the Vatican (to understand more fully why the Communist Party line attacks us, read The Devil’s Final Battle chapter 8) when it is they who are seeking to stop the full truth about Fatima from being known.

We present the facts without any recriminations so that you can determine for yourselves who is telling the truth — so you can take action to safeguard your soul, your family, your home, and your country.

Some people are deceived into believing the half-truths and lies against The Fatima Crusader who proclaims the full Fatima Message, even when it is contrary to the present-day politics of certain men within the Vatican, in chancery offices, and in other positions of influence in the Catholic Church in North America, who tell us that "Fatima is finished". By believing these enemies of Fatima, those people are believing enemies of their own souls, their own freedom, their own families, and will personally pay the consequences of suffering the annihilation of nations and the enslavement of the world, including themselves.

If you choose to believe these lies against the Fatima Message and against this Fatima Apostolate, then it would appear that you do not want the mercy and the grace that God is offering us through the Fatima Message. Our Lord warned us through the Scriptures, "And in all seduction of iniquity to them that perish; because they receive not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. Therefore God shall send them the operation of error, to believe lying: That all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but have consented to iniquity." (2 Thess. 2:10-11).

Please do not join with those who have accepted the "seduction of iniquity"; for those who do, says Scripture, are punished with a spiritual blindness "to believe lying". Do not believe the ongoing campaign of lies against Fatima, but stand up for Our Lady, believe and promote Her full Fatima Message. It is Our Lady of Fatima who warned us that "various nations will be annihilated". And it is also Our Lady of Fatima Who has affirmed to us that "Only Our Lady of the Rosary can help you.""
