| The Secret of Padre Pio
(Part I) |
| Interview with Father Nicholas
Gruner, S.T.L., S.T.D. (Cand.) |
|
Padre Pio has been called The Living Crucifix
because of the wounds in his hands, feet, and side. But the imitation of Christ
that was Padre Pio was of course first in his heart and soul and mind before it
was in his hands, his feet, and his side, as Part I of this interview with
Father Nicholas Gruner explains. (See Issue #63 for Part II.) |
| Padre Pio Said "Love Our
Lady and Recite the Rosary" |
|
After celebrating the solemn Mass on May 2, in
which Padre Pio was beatified, the Holy Father went by helicopter to the loggia
of St. John Lateran, where he introduced the Regina Coeli with a short
reflection on Padre Pio's love of the Blessed Mother. Here is a translation of
the Holy Father's remarks. |

by Fatima Center staff at the May 2, 1999 beatification of Padre
Pio. |

| Sister Lucy and the Act of
March 25, 1984 |
| Taken from Catholic
Counter-Reformation, April 1999 |
|
This article refutes the unfounded position of
Father Domiciano Fernandez, who claims that Pope John Paul II's consecration of
the world on March 25, 1984 satisfies the request of Our Lady of Fatima. This
article also clarifies Sister Lucy's position on the requirements for the
Consecration of Russia and deals with some attempts by the enemies of Fatima to
confuse the faithful by falsely attributing statements to Sister Lucy that
contradict the truth of this matter. |

| Proper Devotion to the

a meditation taken from The Golden Key to Heaven by St. Anthony Mary
Claret. |
|
| Save Your Children's
Souls |
| by St. Alphonsus de
Liguori |
|
Saint Alphonsus, Bishop and Doctor of the Church,
here expounds on the privilege and responsibilities of parenthood as a special
vocation from God. This advice is more necessary today than ever, as there are
so many forces conspiring against our children. |
