Padre Pio has been called The Living Crucifix because of the wounds in his hands, feet, and side. But the imitation of Christ that was Padre Pio was of course first in his heart and soul and mind before it was in his hands, his feet, and his side, as Part I of this interview with Father Nicholas Gruner explains.
