Be Vigilant, Watch and Pray
by Father Andrew B.
Horvath, B.A., M.A.
You will remember what the devil said to Almighty God. He
said he would raise his throne higher than that of the Most High, and that he
would wage war against God. God said, I will put enmity between
thee and the Woman, between Her seed and thy seed: She will crush thy head with
Her heel. (Gen. 3:15)
Take a long look at what is happening in the world today.
What do we see? We see a deluge of sin, a world infected by
immorality, lies and blasphemy. Satan is waging a decisive war against
Mary, the Mother of God and Gods Holy Church.
We Belong to God or the Devil
Now is the time when each one of us must take a definite stand.
We either belong to Almighty God or we belong to the devil. There
is no middle way. Since the 1960's, and that is a long time ago, apostasy
has been devouring the Church, I speak here of the Church, there is only ONE,
despite what others may think or say. The ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, APOSTOLIC
CHURCH has been savaged in her functions, her Sacred Institutions, her
Sovereign Head (the Papacy) her bishops and her priests, her doctrine and
discipline, not forgetting all her faithful people, all these have been tainted
one way or another. The Church of God, the Divine Institution, has been
and still is being attacked from every conceivable angle. We must not close our
eyes to this deplorable situation or persuade ourselves that all is well when
it isnt! All the children of the Church are involved in this, from
the highest to the lowest. To my mind, and the minds of all Catholics of my
generation, we realize that we are witnessing the wholesale destruction of
millions and millions of souls. I keep asking myself, will
the future generations ever know the Truth? It is a
repetition of Christ weeping over Jerusalem. Remember His warning,
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, if thou hadst but known the things that are to thy
peace, but now they are to be taken from before thy eyes, and there will not be
left in thee a stone upon a stone ... And Jesus wept. (Luke 19:41-44)
Each of us in our own spiritual and material life, must every
minute of our waking and sleeping try to merit Heavens special
protection... I am reminded of this every day. On my Rosary beads there
is a medal on which it says: Beware the passing grace of God. In
other words do not let the graces that God sends to us escape our grasp.
If we do, those same graces will not come back again.
We Need the Special Protection of the Mother of God

At Fatima, Our Lady told us to say the Rosary every day. We must
do all we can to fulfill Her wishes. We need the special protection of the
Mother of God ... I feel pity for those who wilfully take no notice of Her
instructions. If we are to be worthy of the name Catholic, we
should find no difficulty in obeying Her wishes. If to say the Rosary is what
the Mother of God wants us to do, then, let us get on with it, and do it. Let
us not be afraid of the future, but remember that Our Lady of the Rosary has
received from Her Son the power to conquer all heresies.
Let us not be afraid of the present or the future ... Remember
that St. Therese (The Little Flower) said: All things are passing.
In two years time, we will see the dawning of the third millennium and,
probably, the fulfillment of Chapters 7 to 13 of St. Johns Apocalypse,
which tells of the decisive battle between Our Lady and the
infernal Dragon (the Devil). Judging from what we have experienced over the
past thirty years, the Great Apostasy heralding the Last Days has
already begun. For instance, the triumph of wickedness in the sanctuaries of
Gods Church, the destruction of our sacred altars, the wholesale
destruction of holy places, the changes and disbelief in the Sacrifice of the
Mass, replacing it with a communal meal idea. Todays Modernists are
determined to change the structures of the Church. The ultimate aim of all we
have witnessed is a completely New Church with a New Liturgy, a New Order. It
takes only one word to sum up all that has happened. The word is SACRILEGE.
Preach the word: be instant in season, out of
season; reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. 2 Timothy
4:2
