Famine 1996?
The Russians have in addition to the largest nuclear arsenal in the world, the largest standing army in the world. That army needs to be fed every day. Will a hungry army fight for the food it needs?
You'd better believe it. Will non-military populations throughout Russia and the rest of the world go hungry? It's possible. Grain supplies in North America are at a record low also. One of the punishments according to Our Lady of Fatima that would be visited upon the world, if Russia failed to be consecrated was famine. The possibility of an all encompassing world-wide famine is real. Our Lady said it and now we see the ominous signs of the worst crop in years — in a country that has the greatest military might in the world.

World Grain Fears Grow
We have been warning for some time about the world grain shortage, a problem that is being exacerbated by the soaring demand in China. The International Wheat Council (IWC) has now admitted that wheat stocks could drop to an 18-year low over the next 12 months.
Natural factors are at play, with drought hitting Australia and North Africa and rain delaying the U.S. sowings of maize. But inefficiency and chaos are behind the likelihood of yet another poor Russian harvest, and the China problem is something that the world has never faced before.

Bread shortages are being reported in several Russian cities and the Ukraine. Wheat prices have more than doubled, and one analyst's expectation of a 50 percent increase in bread prices was described as "one of our most optimistic predictions" by Moscow's Moskovskly Komsomolets newspaper.
