Deo Gratias
by Father Nicholas Gruner
Thanks be to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart
of Mary, and to our many benefactors who have supported us by their prayers,
sacrifices and financial offerings, we are about to leave for the Fatima Peace
Conference.
Space on this page and indeed in this whole issue does not
permit us to fully report on all the preparations, obstacles, possibilities and
problems that have arisen. No doubt before that glorious day when the
Conference starts, the devil will still try to stop us. Your prayerful support
is very much appreciated and still very necessary.
Pray that we, all bishop attendees as well as workers and
speakers at the Conference remain docile to the inspirations of the Immaculate
Heart of Mary so that the great and wonderful good of the Triumph of the
Immaculate Heart of Mary be very soon achieved.
On page 8 of this issue you will find our letter to His
Holiness, Pope John Paul II inviting him to our Fatima Peace Conference. You
will find our concluding paragraph to the proposed Act of Consecration of
Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on page 12.
You will find the very positive response of the bishops to this
Conference on pages 6 and 7, and 31, and an explanation of the consequences of
obeying and/or disobeying Our Lady of Fatima's requests for world peace
starting on page 13.
Some of our speakers at the Conference are mentioned on page 4
and 5 with some background information about them. On page 17 is Father
Leonard's letter sent to all the bishops. It is the third one we sent to them
to encourage them to come to our Fatima Peace Conference.
Because this is a Special Commemorative Issue, some of the
features in our magazine are not present here but will be resumed with the next
issue of The Fatima Crusader. Thank you for all your patience and
support at this time when we are so bogged down organizing this conference.
We trust that although this issue is the smallest Fatima
Crusader we have put out in many years that it will encourage you to pray,
sacrifice and hope that Our Lady's promise will soon be realized. "In the
end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia
to Me. Russia will be converted and a period of peace will be given to the
world." In the meantime let us always remember to take refuge in Her
Immaculate Heart.
