Man, in his search for God, in his search for the truth about existence, endeavors to discover the secret to the mystery of Faith. God's laws are made known to us by God and the Church; but man is not yet ready for such an encounter; and he has to be ready for such an encounter. Does this oppose human reason? Evidently no, for between reason and faith we find a lasting bond of unity.

       Are the mysteries of his Christian Symbol of Faith opposed to reason? On the contrary, they transcend it. And not because God has given riddles that cannot be fathomed, but because the mysteries of Divine origin are definitely unfathomable. One of these mysteries, filled with God's great reason, is a small village in Portugal - Fatima.

       The name of the place, the events that surround it, are intimately tied to the teachings of the Catholic Faith. It is from Fatima that flow and intertwine with each other, three apparently contradictory ideas. The first, is the idea of the Marian movement, or as we call it the teachings on Mary, through Whom will come the unification of the Church. The second, is the idea and doctrines or teachings of Islam. The third, is the idea of socialist communism.

Hrushiv, in the Ukraine where Our Lady appeared to very many people. She has converted to the Catholic Faith groups of Jews and Protestants almost instantly through these apparitions. It was here that Our Lady also appeared and spoke to Josyp.

       Where does Fatima enter the picture? What is the relationship of Fatima to Islam and to communism? It is in Fatima that we find the growth of a power that will destroy communism, a power that shall bring Muslims to Christ the King.

       Let us remember that human Faith can be overcome by Divine Faith. Do we possess a weapon that hopefully can not only overcome every form of communism, but also destroy it? We do. Our weapon is penance and sacrifice, and the sincere and committed obedience to and work for God, for ourselves and for future generations. Consider, night or day — neither mud, nor rain, nor snow can halt the growing masses of Christians, who daily are searching not for material temptations, but for salvation through the power of the Rosary.

       Millions and millions of small beads, strung on a string, pass through devout fingers daily, night and day; and these beads are more powerful than any weapon contrived today by the egotism of man. I believe that the Rosary will be the cause of the defeat of communism.

       Mankind receives from Fatima the idea of salvation from potential war and revolutions through Christ.

       But there is one more secret to Fatima — this is the conversion of Moslems to the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Almost a half billion people — men and women — confess the faith of Mohammed but has anyone ever stopped to consider why the Immaculate Virgin appeared to the faithful in Fatima? Was this not planned by God, that He might convert the Moslems through Fatima; the conversion of Russia and the Jews, and thirdly through all the secrets of Fatima to unite mankind in one religious family?

       Some might object, that the Virgin Mary has appeared and continues to appear in other places. I don't deny this. Yet notwithstanding this, Fatima continues to be special among all the places where Mary, the Virgin and Queen of Peace continues to appear. Why did the Immaculate Virgin choose Fatima in 1917, to witness to mankind the secrets that will change evil to good? The Portuguese are people of deep faith; they are a good people and highly esteem the meaning of sacrifice.

       There is one other European people that possess these gifts of God, the Ukrainians. They possess a deep faith, which they have preserved intact notwithstanding an antichrist regime. They are good even to naiveness. But they have lost the sense of the price of sacrifice, except for a small fragment of the people. What a tragedy. The Virgin Mary appeared in Hrushiw, as in Fatima, to devout children; and then to the faithful, that received this gift.

       The founder of Islam, Mohammed had a beloved daughter Fatima. After her death, the prophet, a devout person and a man of deep faith, used to say, "of all the women in paradise, the holiest is Fatima; she is closest to the Virgin Mary."

       The Moslems call the Mother of God, the Immaculate Conception. Chapter 19 of the Koran dedicates 41 verses to the Virgin Mary. There are religious bodies, or faiths, that call themselves Christians, but not one of their followers acknowledges the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. Unfortunately, today's Orthodox are of the same mind. The Moslems not only do not reject the Virgin Mary of Nazareth, but they call Her the Immaculate Conception; and they acknowledge Her Son Jesus as the greatest of the prophets, even though they do not accept His Divinity, as the Second Person in the mystery of the Triune God.

       The very fact that the Virgin Mary appeared in Fatima, lends itself to the belief that the Moslems, in the divinely appointed time, will accept also Jesus as the Son of God, as they accepted His Mother.

       History speaks of the centuries of Moslem domination over Portugal. It was in the 15th Century that the Christian kings of Portugal, and then of Spain, rose against their Moslem overlord and drove the Moslems from their lands.

       The sheiks or sultans, who governed in the last times over a part of Portugal, had a beautiful daughter, Fatima. She fell in love with a young hidalgo. Fatima received baptism and professed the faith of Christ. The young couple were wed. In time, the town in which this young couple settled was renamed Fatima to honor the young Moslem woman that accepted Christianity.

       We understand now why this town of Christian Portugal now bears a Moslem name. As we can see, this town in which the Immaculate Virgin appeared in 1917, has an intimate tie with Islam.

       The Immaculate Virgin spoke of Fatima in Her apparitions in the Ukrainian Carpathian village of Hrushiw. The Immaculate Virgin Mary said "Fatima is the beginning of the attack against communism, Hrushiw is its completion."

       The Immaculate Virgin continued: "Ukraine will be free and its King will be a Prince of Peace. The Ukrainians will unite under the mantle of the Apostolic Church of Christ in the true orthodox and Catholic Faith. Ukraine shall reclaim its ancient name of Rus. Rus will be united, and will lead all the opponents of the antichrist.

       There shall follow the great battle of the Armageddon, the decisive battles that will bring the victory of Christians on the shores of the Jordan River. Many of the supporters of satan shall abandon him and will join the Christians, and will obtain forgiveness. Many Jews will accept Christ as the Messiah."
