The Fatima Crusader Vindicated:

Update on Chronology of a Coverup

by Coralie Graham - Editor

Sister Lucy lives in Coimbra, as a Carmelite Nun. She is 84 years old and is not allowed to have visits, even from bishops, without special permission of the Vatican.

Recently, Sister Lucy's Mother Prioress gave an interview to the Portuguese newspaper O Jornal published on the 10th of May, 1991. The journalist, named Manuel Vilas Boas, asked a number of questions about life in the convent and in particular about Sister Lucy.

Mother Prioress Speaks Out

We reprint here the portion of the interview which starts at the point where he asks questions about Sister Lucy.

Q: Here in this convent there is the exceptional presence of Sister Lucy, the Fatima visionary. Is she in fact an exception among the other religious?

Mother Prioress: In our midst she is one of us. She is exactly the same. Those who do not know her, would not be able to distinguish her from the rest of the religious. She is a sister like all the others. We know who she is but we do not interfere with her life as a visionary.

Q: Does she have any special tasks?

Mother Prioress: We simply have to take into consideration her 84 years of age. She used to do all kinds of domestic work. Today she does not do as much because of her age. What is different about her is all the correspondence that she receives in great quantities.

Q: Does she reply to all the letters that she receives?

Mother Prioress: She does or does not reply however Sister Lucy decides. She does receive some help from the sisters only for translation. When Sister Lucy replies it is she who does so and she does it in her own handwriting. (Emphasis added Ed.)

Comment of The Fatima Crusader

This interview demonstrates what The Fatima Crusader has proven many times before. That there is a fraud, a hoax going on in regard to Sister Lucy and the Fatima Message. We made a chronology of this hoax in Crusader No. 35 last winter (Extra copies were printed as well so that close to one million copies were circulated in the last eight months).

We campaigned by encouraging the Faithful to write the Pope and Cardinal Ratzinger. Already these efforts are bearing fruit. Despite the highly organized and well financed campaign by such prestigious magazines as 30 Days (now defunct) and statements by high-ranking bishops like the Bishop of Fatima, the truth is now out.

It is admitted by one who has in the past attacked The Fatima Crusader. Mother Prioress is now telling us that Sister Lucy does not reply to questions except in her own handwriting.

Thus the fake letters alleged to be written from Sister Lucy to Maria Belem, Father Paul Leonard, Walter Noelker, etc. all of which contained errors of fact, all of which claimed Sister Lucy said the consecration was done and all of which were generated by a computer and have a forged signature of Sister Lucy, all are fakes.

It is on this tissue of lies that 30 Days magazine (now defunct) and Father Fox's magazine have broadcast the lie that the Consecration of Russia is done and peace is around the corner.

It is time that Sister Lucy be allowed to speak to the public before she dies. No doubt after we publish this interview there will be another hoax, and another one, in an attempt to confuse the people, to try to stop our Fatima consecration campaign.

Already the Blue Army had the bogus interview of 1982 with Sister Lucy. Then there were the lies of Maria Fetal which were published in 1989 and laid to rest in 1990. Now the above-noted "letters" of Sister Lucy have been finally totally discredited.

We don't know what the enemies of Our Lady of Fatima will attempt next but we can expect these lies to continue until Our Lady is finally taken seriously by more bishops and Cardinals. It might take the annihilation of entire nations to befall mankind before the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Interview Continues

We now continue below the interview with the very next question raised by the journalist of O Jornal.

Q: Of all the jobs in the convent what does she (Sister Lucy) like to do the best?

Mother Prioress: She likes everything. She did gardening and she did gold embroidery for a number of years.

       Q: Does she receive visitors?

Mother Prioress: Only family or very intimate friends. No one else.

Q: But does she not also receive official visits?

Mother Prioress: She does receive visits from Cardinals, who are able to do so without (any further) authorization from the Pope. But not any bishop can visit here as you know, except by special authorization from the Holy See.

But let me tell you this. There are those who think that Sister Lucy is sequestered here, prohibited to talk and appear. That is not true. It is that she wants to be like this. Firstly as a Carmelite and secondly to save herself from curiosity, which is great, because of the fact that she is the visionary of Fatima.

Q: Sister Lucy recently was operated on for cataracts. Is she really in good health?

Mother Prioress: The operation went well. And her health is good for her age. She has no disease.

Q: Does she continue to lead a normal life?

Mother Prioress: Yes. A normal life.

Comment of The Fatima Crusader

She is the only Carmelite nun in the whole Catholic Church who is not permitted to see bishops unless the Holy See gives special permission. This is not normal. Just because she is a visionary is not excuse enough to so seclude her. St. Bernadette of Lourdes did not have such difficulty as is imposed on Sister Lucy.

No doubt that every person who comes out of curiosity should not have free access to ask to see Sister Lucy, but surely not every bishop who is considered by the Holy See to be responsible enough to be entrusted with the care of millions of souls is considered a curiosity seeker.

The Third Secret which concerns the eternal salvation of the hundreds of millions of Catholics is not something to be kept from at least the pastors of these souls. Nor should Sister Lucy's convenience be so overriding that she is not allowed to speak freely to the pastors of souls. After all, that is why she was given the vocation by the Mother of God Herself to stay some time longer on earth.

Especially in the light of recent efforts by the now discredited irresponsible journalists like the one in 30 Days, Father Fox, and John Haffert and by the present-day efforts of some Church officials such as the rector of Fatima to falsify the Fatima Message, it is more imperative than ever that Sister Lucy be allowed to speak and reveal the Third Secret to the faithful before the Apostasy predicted therein is allowed to advance further for lack of knowledge. Let us redouble our prayers for this intention and our petitions.

Get your extra copies of the post cards to the Pope and have your friends and neighbors sign them.

Note: For those who might like to make further enquiries about this interview with Mother Prioress, it was made by Manuel Vilos Boas. It was published by O Jornal, a weekly newspaper published in Lisbon. The editor is Jose Silva Pinto. The address of O Jornal is Avenida da Liberdade No. 232, 1298 Lisbon Codex Portugal.
