Frère Michel Proves "Sister Lucia's Letter" is a Fake
by Coralie Graham - Editor
Since last August, computer generated letters claimed to be from Sister Lucia of Fatima have been circulating.
These letters alleged to be from Sister Lucia contradict what Sister Lucia has consistently said and written in her own handwriting for 60 years on the subject of the Consecration of Russia.
Since Sister Lucia is not allowed by her superiors to make a public statement about the Consecration of Russia, we cannot get a public clarification from her.
Frère Michel was asked by one of his friends to comment on one such alleged letter of Sister Lucia, the one addressed to Maria Betlem and dated August 29, 1989.
Frère Michel is most qualified to speak about this as he is the author of the greatest and most complete book on Fatima ever published, The Whole Truth About Fatima in 3 Volumes.
Frère Michel brings his examination to bear on the body of the letter pretended to have come from Sister Lucia. He is quite explicit. The Frère Michel analysis follows:
"In this letter, it is uniquely a question of consecrating the world and never Russia. But at Fatima and then at Tuy, Our Lady never asked for the consecration of the world but for that of Russia alone.
"Mention is made of a non-existent consecration allegedly made by Paul VI on May 13, 1967.
"There is no mention of the only consecration of Russia ever to have been made, namely that made by Pius XII (the only one, alas) in his Apostolic Letter 'Sacro Vergente Anno' of July 7, 1952.
"The author therefore proves his ignorance of the Fatima question, and so the letter cannot be by Sister Lucia."
Thus Frère Michel proves from the content of the fake letter that it cannot be from Sister Lucia. The latest round of disinformation, like the bogus interview of 1982, is based on a hoax.
