Most Holy Father.

Our Blessed Mother promised at Fatima that if the Pope, in union with all the bishops of the world, consecrated Russia to her Immaculate Heart, Russia would be converted and there would be peace. This consecration still has not been done!

The treaty between the Vatican and Russia must be rescinded!

We humbly beseech you to oblige your brother bishops worldwide to Collegially Consecrate Russia to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart. We know that Your Holiness is fully justified in engaging your supreme apostolic authority in this matter.

Elizabeth McGuigan of California is doing her part to help Our Lady of Fatima save America from either annihilation or otherwise certain Communist enslavement. She has designed and hand painted a beautiful petition to the Holy Father (pictured left) and circulated a number of originals around the world gathering thousands of signatures which have already been forwarded to His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.

When one of her Petition forms signed by many people was presented to Pope John Paul II in November, 1987, he insisted on receiving and keeping it personally rather than allowing his aide to carry it for him. Immediately after the General Audience, the Holy Father took the Petition into his private chapel and prayed the Rosary over it. This incident was the talk of the Vatican and is indeed proof that Our Holy Father appreciates the show of our support.

Elizabeth has also presented Father Gruner with another original of these petitions and he will personally carry it to Rome for delivery to the Holy Father together with the many thousands of signatures received here at the Fatima Crusader office.

Elizabeth follows in the footsteps of her second cousin, the late James Cardinal McGuigan who had a great love and devotion for Our Lady of Fatima.

Cardinal McGuigan was in 1947 the personal representative of Pope Pius XII - Cardinal Legate a Latere at the prayerful five day Marian Congress held in Ottawa, Canada. Pope Pius XII called on Cardinal McGuigan for help in organizing this International Marian Congress to promote devotion to Our Lady and especially to appeal for prayer to Her for World Peace. This was only five years after he had been misled regarding the request of Our Lady of Fatima to consecrate specifically and exclusively Russia.

Sister Lucy had written a letter to Pope Pius XII on October 24, 1940 asking for the consecration of Russia, however the diocesan censors influenced by their view of World War II prevailed upon her to change her letter before sending it because they did not consider it prudent. As a result of this "prudence" Pius XII consecrated the world and not exclusively Russia and thus the promise of peace for the world was not realized due to this lack of clear information.

Peace will only come to the world through the fulfillment of the request of Our Lady of Fatima that the Pope in union with all the Catholic bishops, on one specific day in a solemn and public ceremony consecrate RUSSIA to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

It is ONLY BY THIS MEANS that we will be saved from either annihilation or otherwise certain enslavement under Communist Russia.
