SOLEMN BENEDICTION AT ST. PETER'S

       Pope John Paul II leads the Church in Eucharistic Adoration and Reparation. At Fatima Mary, Mother of Our Eucharistic Lord, teaches us to console Jesus by increased Eucharistic Devotion. It is through priestly ordination that the Church continues to receive this Divine gift of the Eucharist (see “Dear Friend of Our Lady”). In our times, Devotion to Jesus and Mary must increase, according to St. John Bosco (see “World Peace or the Annihilation of Nations?” and “Sacrifice Yourself for this Intention and Pray”). Does this Saint’s prophecy refer to Pope John Paul II and the near future? Will we heed this invitation to go to Jesus and Mary soon enough to merit that this prophecy of peace will be for our time — or will it be too late? In this letter addressed to the friends of the apostolate, Father Gruner reminds us that the annihilation of nations will soon be upon us if we do not respond very soon to Our Lady's urgent message at Fatima. It is up to us to spread Her Message to as many people as possible and to pray that Her requests are heeded.

Why must we not wait to heed Our Lady's requests at Fatima? This article explains the errors of Russia and the consequences if Our Lady's requests are not heeded. According to the Message of Fatima, if we do not heed Her requests soon, entire nations will be annihilated. If the Catholic Bishops do not obey Our Lady of Fatima soon, the whole world will be enslaved by Communist Russia.

In an official document published in the September 10, 1984 English edition of L'Osservatore Romano, warning the Church against "Liberation Theology", was the passage reprinted here regarding the Communist regimes in Russia and other Communist countries.
