The Catholic Church Betrayed

Cardinal Tisserant betrayed the Church when he concluded the Vatican-Moscow Agreement. This disastrous treaty constitutes an act of religious treason whereby Catholics around the world have been betrayed. In fact many other people besides suffer war and hunger in various parts of the world due to this perfidious treaty. Our Lady at Fatima said the world would be punished for its sins by war, hunger, persecution of the Church and the Holy Father if Her requests at Fatima were not obeyed. This Vatican-Moscow Agreement blocks the fulfillment of Our Lady of Fatima's requests.

Treason in the Vatican

       We publish the preceding article in its entirety because it is important for us to know the truth - to know that the Vatican has made an agreement with the headquarters of worldwide Communism, that is, Moscow - to not denounce the intrinsically perverse nature of Communism in its theory as well as in its present day practice. This agreement in itself is an act of treason.

       It is not our purpose to judge the moral rectitude of those who entered into this perfidious agreement. In fact, in the last Crusader (#16) we suggested that the Vatican was not so much led to make this agreement for the sake of K.G.B. members (in the guise of Russian Orthodox bishops) accepting an invitation to Vatican Council II but for a much more fundamental reason. That is, in the millions and millions of deaths and murders inflicted upon the wounded, Mystical Body of Christ (the Catholic Church) by the archenemy, the devil, through his primary instrument of torture and death, namely, the Communist party and Communist regimes of the Iron and Bamboo Curtains.

       CERTAINLY WE PRAY FOR AND WORK TOWARD SO HIGH AN AIM OF ENDING THE BLOODSHED, THE PHYSICAL AND MORAL TORTURE, AND THE IMPRISONMENT OF OUR FELLOW CATHOLICS. THIS UNJUSTIFIED PERSECUTION OF OUR BROTHERS IN CHRIST, WHO ARE CRUELLY AND TERRIBLY PERSECUTED BY THESE MEN WHO HATE GOD AND THE BELIEVERS IN GOD, MUST BE STOPPED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, BUT NOT AT THE PRICE OF THE SURRENDER OF OUR SOULS. RATHER IT MUST BE DONE BY THE SPIRITUAL WEAPONS THAT OUR LADY OF FATIMA TOLD US WE MUST UTILIZE AT THIS TIME IN THIS EXTREME CRISIS OF HISTORY.

       We sympathize with the motives that induced the Vatican to make such an agreement (as we expressed ourselves in Issue #16). We suggested that, as a very short term policy of a period of less than a couple of years, such a policy could possibly be morally justified.

       However, it is important to note all of the above limitations to our statements. We do not say that such a policy can ever be justified over a long period of time. On the contrary, we must condemn as evil, this agreement, whereby the Vatican agreed to keep silence regarding the Communist regime in Russia. It is seriously wrong, and as such is never justified in the face of the threat and reality of evil that Communism is.

The Vatican-Moscow Agreement Betrays
All of Us

       We must agree with Mr. Madiran that such a treaty between the Vatican and Moscow constitutes a religious treason, a betrayal of a sacred trust, a betrayal of you and me, by persons who have been given the job of protecting our souls and our God-given rights. But this betrayal is primarily not to be blamed on the Vatican officials so much but on everyone who has not listened to the voice of conscience: - on those who have not prayed and done penance as Christ has taught. "So that we enter not into temptation"; - on those who have spurned and rejected the message of Fatima as being not binding upon themselves, (when, in fact it is most definitely binding under pain of sin); - on those who have not stirred to protect the interests of God in the Church and in their countries by docilely accepting bad laws and practices, etc., that go against God, e.g., abortion in law and practice.

       Nor are we to be scandalized at the weakness or the lack of wisdom on the part of Vatican officials.

       This is no proof that the Church or the Pope is not infallible. Rather, it is allowed to befall us as a result of the sentence of judgment by God for our sins; for not heeding His warnings. Israel, in the Old Testament, because they did not heed God's prophets, suffered imprisonment, death, enslavement and deportation for their disobedience and disbelief. So, too, we in the New Testament will suffer as long as we do not obey the prophet of God, Our Lady of Fatima and Her chosen one, Sister Lucy.

       For infallibility does not mean that the Pope, or that the Vatican, will not make mistakes in the administration of the Church. Nor does it prove that the Church is going to fail, since it made such a large error. Despite these weaknesses and ill-advised policies, the promise of Christ is still good. "That the gates of hell will not prevail against the Catholic Church."

Jacinta of Fatima who offered her life for the Holy Father had part of her bones removed while she was fully conscious. She never complained as she offered up these sufferings for the Church. She saw a vision of the Holy Father against whom a crowd of people were angry and throwing stones. We must not make the same mistake as those people, and blame the Holy Father for this betrayal of the Church. He is trying as fast as he can to make this situation right. We must support him by our prayers. As our Lord said to Sister Lucy — pray, pray a great deal for the Holy Father.

Only Obedience to Fatima Could Have
Prevented It

       We cannot agree with Mr. John Haffert that the Vatican has outsmarted Moscow in this agreement and that because of this agreement, the Church is better off. Nor can we agree that the agreement must be good, because, in Mr. Haffert's opinion, Cardinal Tisserant and Nikodim are two saints. If Nikodim is in heaven today, it is not because he forced this agreement upon the Vatican for his Soviet masters, rather, it would only be despite his having been part of bringing this betrayal upon us all. The mercy of God is great and enormous sins of those who truly repent can be forgiven by Him. As for Cardinal Tisserant, we do not presume to judge his sincerity or holiness (his cause for canonization has never been introduced as far as we know) but we can say, without hesitation, that this agreement does not constitute something in his life that is worthy of commendation. At best, it could possibly be called only an honest mistake, but for such a mistake to be made by one so high, and so intelligent as Cardinal Tisserant, indeed, boggles the mind. Nevertheless, we can affirm in all truth that but for the Grace of God, we also, if we had been in a similar position to that of Cardinal Tisserant, would have made the same mistake. Because, without the Grace of God, we cannot withstand the wiles and tricks of the devil. Without the Grace of God no one can resist the sinful desires of fallen human nature for praise, power and/or pleasure. This grace is obtained for our leaders by our own compliance with the message of Fatima. That is why we must realize the literal truth of Our Lady's words at Fatima, "only I can help you." In this crisis, we must then seek the graces needed for this critical time, through Our Lady's intercession — through especially the Rosary, the Scapular, the Five First Saturday Devotions, and the Consecration of ourselves to Our Lady, and through ultimately obtaining by our prayers, good works, and petitions, the grace of the collegial consecration of Russia.

Pope John Paul II here forgives Agca, the man who shot the Pope. Agca has publicly confessed to doing this on orders from Communist agents. We must, like Pope John Paul, forgive our enemies and at the same time be uncompromising in standing firm for the Law of God even when our life is under threat of death.

Our Lady at Fatima Warned Us About Russia

       Our Lady Herself said at Fatima that Russia would spread her errors throughout the world. Sister Lucy has explained that the whole world, including the United States of America, will be enslaved by Russia if we do not heed the message of Our Lady of Fatima. We are not simply faced with the military might of Soviet Russia, great though it is. Certainly, if it did not have the great military and economic resources almost no one in their right mind would pay much attention to the stupidities of Communism that pass for an intelligent doctrine. But we are faced with much more than material power. We are faced with an ideological warfare. This warfare is conducted very intelligently and craftily, whereby mankind, or portions of it, are fooled because of the control of the press by militant atheists in North America and other parts of the free world (the West) who give the impression to the general public that they are anti-Communist. In reality, however, they are in favor of it but dare not reveal their inner motives to the general public.

       It is in this context that one should understand the written remark of Pope Pius XI in his Encyclical on Atheistic Communism: "If it were not for the silence of the press in the West, Communism would have died long ago." It is only through silence and misinformation given to the public that Russia has been able to impose the world's worst tyranny ever known to mankind on so many millions; while killing by deliberate policy, over 135,000,000 men, women and children in its short 67 year history - Reflect on this! Yet, these facts are passed over in silence for the most part by the media and by our world leaders, as well as our clergy. The priests, remember, are given the job by God of forming our consciences, including what our duties are to our downtrodden brothers. But no, hardly a word is spoken, because the facts are hidden from our eyes and from our attention.

Pope Asks Bishops to Speak Out

       Pope John Paul II, speaking to the Canadian bishops on September 20, 1984, in Ottawa, told them to speak out against this terrible persecution of our Catholic brothers by the organized forces of evil - the militant atheists - the Communists. We cannot agree that silence is justified or an advantage to the Church. The truth shall make us free; above all, spiritual truth will make our souls free even if we be imprisoned. But, we must also, in our social responsibilities, come to the aid of the oppressed by publishing the truth. Fraternal charity and Christ Himself demands it of us.

Russia Continues to Wage War

       Communism is fighting an ideological battle for men's minds by propagating false ideas and false impressions into the minds of the people. This is done through control of the media by militant atheists, and at the same time by forcing the moral voice of the Roman Catholic Church to be silenced. This enables the unceasing and active propaganda of lies and hatred spread by the Communists through many devious methods to go on without being hindered, as the pastors of the sheep have effectively been forbidden from rousing their slumbering flocks to protect themselves. "If the watchman does not cry out when he sees the enemy approach, then he is guilty for the death of his fellow citizens in the City of God" (see Ezechial). But Communism is conducting more than just a war of ideas. It is a total war on all fronts against "God and His Christ" (Psalm 2). That is Communism fights Jesus Christ and His Members, the faithful of the Catholic Church. The faithful are members of Jesus Christ's Mystical Body because they have been baptized in His name and are fed His Holy Eucharist and washed in His Blood through the Sacrament of Confession and Penance. This warfare is, as we have already noted, economic, military and ideological. It is also conducted on the moral and spiritual plane. Pope John Paul II has said that the international drug traffic constituted a weapon of warfare. It is a war against God's followers. It is a weapon used by the enemy to demoralize and break the resistance of the youth, to turn them into slaves of drugs and slaves of the secular and/or Soviet state which seeks to devour the Church.

This War is Unto Death

       Our Lady of Fatima warns us that this warfare is also conducted in other areas of our life, seemingly detached from international politics and our military enslavement. Yet, it is there at Fatima that Our Lady said "Certain fashions would be introduced that would offend My Son very much." Immodest fashions cause souls to lose their purity and thereby enslaves them to unlawful and irresponsible use of the procreative power, commonly known as sex. From this, arises the murder of millions of innocent babies each year. Their innocent blood calls down vengeance upon us from God.

       We must wake up to the fact that we are in the middle of a war and all of us are combatants whether we like it or not. It is a fight unto the very end. In this war we are called upon by Our Lady of Fatima to definitely overcome our enemies by converting them away from their satanic plans of moral corruption and physical enslavement of ourselves. Otherwise Our Lady tells us that we shall be killed by being morally corrupted and physically enslaved and/or put to death as 135,000,000 people before us have already been.

       These hate-filled hypocrites who murdered the poor in the name of helping the poor have killed enough people to wipe out the entire Canadian population and over one-half of the entire population of the U.S.A. The Communists have done all this hypocritically saying they do it out of love for the poor. And yet some would expect us to remain silent in front of such hypocrisy, such deceitfulness and such lies, so that the Russian Communists can do the same to us.

The Battle for Your Souls

       No, the war we are in is more than just military and economic and political and diplomatic. It is all that, but also an ideological warfare and a warfare conducted to destroy our morals and make us less than animals by tempting us to be drugged; and also to murder our own fellow citizens, the babies in their mother's wombs. The warfare is still more than all this. It is spiritual; it is a warfare conducted by satan and the rebellious angels, the devils. It is a war for which satan uses Russian Communism and the great resources placed at its disposal by the militant atheists of East and West to fight the Roman Catholic Church itself. By tracts, books and magazines, some professors of theology, groups, as well as supposed programs of renewal, the Catholic faith in some quarters is emptied of its content or at least watered down to such an extent that people are effectively taken out of the Catholic Church by loss of faith or loss of practice of the faith. So that if such former Catholics should die like that, they would go to hell for the mortal sin of heresy or for refusing to give God the honor that is His due. Our Lady alluded to this war against the Catholic faith at Fatima when She said "in Portugal the doctrine of the faith will be preserved," implying that in other countries it might not be.

Militant Atheists Against the Catholic Church

       The fight by the militant atheists of the East and the West converges upon the Catholic Church. Both brands of militant atheists concentrate their efforts upon drawing the faithful away from the faith and the practice of their faith. These men are organized to take us away from the Word of God, from Prayer and the Sacraments - the means of Grace and Salvation which are necessary for us to save our souls. They use all means to take us away from the authentic teaching authority of the Pope, when he teaches the Universal Church according to the teaching of the Holy Apostles and Fathers and Saints, according to what Christ Himself has taught. Thus, we can see what Malcolm Muggeridge meant a few years ago when he spoke of policies in the Church that seemed to be designed to drive away the faithful. Lenin said that he would infiltrate the Catholic clergy with Communists.

Infiltration of Clergy Predicted in Scripture

       This is the program outlined also by Communist China through their workers and propaganda in Cuba. (See "The Secret Red Plan to Take Over the Catholic Church".) This does not mean that we should mistrust all priests and bishops, but that we should guard ourselves against those that are known as heretics. St. Paul said "Take heed to yourselves and to the whole flock in which the Holy Spirit has placed you, as bishops, to rule the Church of God, which He has purchased with His Own Blood. I know that after my departure, fierce wolves will get in among you, and will not spare the flock. And from among your own selves, men will rise speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after them. "Watch, therefore . . ." (Acts of the Apostles, Ch. 20). St. Paul also tells us how to spot such a dangerous wolf in sheep's clothing. "If anyone, even an angel from Heaven or even myself, should teach you another Gospel other than the one I have taught - let him be anathema - let him be cursed." (Galatians Ch. 2).

The War Against the Faithful

       We are, then, in a warfare, a warfare in which our enemies hold nothing sacred. No law or fear of God holds them back but the fear of being found out before they can put all their plans into effect. It is a warfare to the death. It is a war, above all, against your souls, by spreading heresy and heteropraxis (practices of religion which tend to break down your faith, such as the practice of talking indiscriminately in church and never genuflecting or showing any sign of respect for Jesus in the Holy Eucharist) and the breakdown of morals so as to eventually break your faith or to enslave you to vice. It is through the warfare upon the Church that the devil and his followers try to extinguish the means of grace - prayer and the sacraments - as well as the moral voice of the Church either by discrediting or silencing the voice of the pastors speaking to their flock. It is a war that the faithful and the Church will win - but will never win until it puts into effect the very simple yet very profound plan that God has revealed through the message of Our Lady of Fatima. It is a program that each can put into effect in his own life individually and one will reap immediate benefits. It is, above all, a spiritual program designed to overcome snares, errors, lies and tricks of the devil and his followers, the Communists and their allies, the militant atheists of the West (especially the Masons).

Victory Only Through Our Lady of Fatima

       This warfare is one, only one. It is the war that was declared by God upon the serpent in the Garden of Eden. "I will put enmity between you and the Woman, between thy seed and Her seed. You shall lie in wait for Her heel and She shall crush thy head" (Genesis 3:15). The serpent is satan and the Woman is Mary, the Mother of God, Who appeared at Fatima with Her definitive program, the fulfillment of which She promised victory.

       We will not win this spiritual battle until we heed all Her requests. While we should emphasize first of all the need for our own conversion and our own individual fulfillment of Our Lady's requests each and every day - we should pray the Rosary every day, wear the Scapular always, Consecrate yourself to Our Lady (that is, rededicate your whole life to God through the Blessed Virgin's hands asking Her to keep you as Her own property and possession and give all to God through Her and ask and expect all you need from God through the intercession of Her Loving Immaculate Heart). Do your daily duty for love of Jesus and Mary and, of course, this means keeping the Commandments, especially by praying for the Grace that you need to do this and by receiving the Sacraments and avoiding the near occasions of sin.

Public Reparation Commanded by God

       But besides this program of life, which, of course, can be and must be elaborated on in other articles, there is also the need to show that this is not the whole program of the message of Fatima. There is also the need to know that God has asked for a program of public reparation. This includes the program of the First Saturdays whereby public acknowledgement is given in our local communities by the "First Saturday Devotions." We need not wait until the pastor introduces these devotions because individuals can practice them before the parish community adopts them. As we explained in Issue #11-12, the justice and mercy of God also demands the great public act of homage to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the solemn public act of consecration of Russia by the Pope and all the bishops of the world. God insists upon this solemn act in our time. This is in reparation for the crime of the ages, the public and continuous revolt of the militant atheists against God by propping up an atheistic regime in Russia. The purpose and practice of which, to this day, is to fight Christ the King and His reign in the souls and hearts and social institutions of mankind.

Message of Fatima

       Jesus has said that if it were not for the merciful intercession of Our Lady, "No one would be saved," He revealed to St. Bridget as reported by St. Alphonsus, in The Glories of Mary. Jesus now wants this important fact about Mary to be known. This, He will achieve, when the Pope and bishops obey the command of God at Fatima to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

       Through this public homage to Mary, Jesus will effect the conversion of Russia. This He has revealed to Sister Lucy of Fatima.

       Thus, part of the program of The Fatima Crusader is to make better known this most important command of God, upon which the 'Peace of the World' depends.
