HIS HOLINESS POPE JOHN PAUL II SAYS...
The Message of Fatima Imposes an Obligation on the
Church
"The Appeal of Our Lady of Fatima is so deeply rooted in the
Gospel and the whole of Tradition that the Church feels that the message
imposes a commitment on Her."
... Pope John Paul II at Fatima
"Our Lady's message at Fatima remains ever relevant. It is still
more relevant than it was 65 years ago. It is still more urgent"
... Pope John Paul II at Fatima
"Today John Paul II, successor of St. Peter presents himself
before the Mother of the Son of God in HER Shrine at Fatima. In what way does
he come? He presents himself reading again with trepidation the motherly call
to penance, to conversion, the ardent appeal of the Heart of Mary that
resounded at Fatima 65 years ago. Yes, he reads it again with trepidation in his
heart because he sees how many people and societies - how many Christians -
have gone in the opposite direction to the one indicated in the message of
Fatima. Sin has thus made itself firmly at home in the world, and denial of God
has become widespread in the ideologies, ideas and plans of human beings."
... Pope John Paul II at Fatima
"The successor of Peter presents himself here also as a witness
to the immensity of human suffering, a witness to the almost apocalyptic
menaces looming over the nations and mankind as a whole."
... Pope John Paul II at Fatima
"Save yourself from this perverse generation." The Fatima Crusader Comments on the Vatican-Moscow Agreement ... St. Peter on
Pentecost (Acts 2:40)

| Providential Meeting
Pope John Paul meets with his would be assassin in prison on December 27, 1983. The Pope on May 13, 1981 had been saved from the poisoned deadly bullet, through Our Lady of Fatima's protection. In truly providential circumstances, Mr. Agca was also saved from certain death from K.G.B. agents after he shot the Pope (see Clair Sterling's book reviewed on page 30). In 1983 Mr. Agca was converted and confessed publicly to the press in July that he was hired by the communist agents to kill the Pope. At the above meeting in December the Pope would be able to ascertain for himself the truth of Mr. Agca's confession. Thus, through this providential meeting the Vatican could realize first hand that the Vatican/Moscow Agreement is useless and dangerous. These events open the way to the greater understanding within the Church that only Our Lady of Fatima can help us in the present crisis. (See the Fatima Crusader comments on the Vatican/Moscow Agreement on page 9 of this issue).
