Saint Maximilian Kolbe on Freemasonry

       Happily, Christians everywhere will be reminded this year of the need to combat Freemasonry no less than Marxism by the canonization of Blessed Maximilian Kolbe whose heroic martyrdom in Auschwitz merely set the final seal of sanctity on a life totally dedicated to the reign of Christ through Mary.

       For if there was one thing of which Saint Maximilian Kolbe was continually aware every moment of his life it was the menace of Freemasonry.

       Young Brother Maximilian analyzed Freemasonry's aims in the following words:

       'THESE MEN WITHOUT GOD FOUND THEMSELVES IN A TRAGIC SITUATION. SUCH IMPLACABLE HATRED FOR THE CHURCH AND THE AMBASSADORS OF CHRIST ON EARTH IS NOT IN THE POWER OF INDIVIDUAL PERSONS, BUT OF A SYSTEMATIC ACTIVITY STEMMING IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS FROM FREEMASONRY. IN PARTICULAR, IT AIMS TO DESTROY THE CATHOLIC RELIGION. THEIR DECEITS HAVE BEEN SPREAD IN THE WHOLE WORLD, IN DIFFERENT GUISES, BUT WITH THE SAME OLD GOAL: RELIGIOUS INDIFFERENCE AND WEAKENING OF MORAL FORCES ACCORDING TO THEIR BASIC PRINCIPLE: WE WILL CONQUER THE CATHOLIC CHURCH NOT WITH ARGUMENT BUT RATHER WITH MORAL CORRUPTION.'
